SEGA launches it's classic games collection with the release of SEGA Forever for Android and iOS devices, but the best part? All games will be available for FREE with new games added every two weeks, oh and the below launch trailer has all sorts of amazing nostalgia thrown in!
SEGA FOREVER™ MAKES TIME TRAVEL* COST-EFFECTIVE, CONVENIENT
Three decades after it all began, SEGA Networks announces a growing collection of classic video games for mobile
SAN FRANCISCO, LONDON – 21st June 2017 - In celebration of a simpler time - an era that came before cool kale, hyper-connectedness, DIY artisanal beer-making, and social media mayhem - SEGA Networks Inc. is bringing a growing collection of classic video games from every console era to your mobile device for free. The collection, called SEGA Forever, is a re-awakening of archetypal gaming, an ode to the deep and diverse SEGA catalogue, and the beginning of a retro revolution that will transport players back through two decades of console gaming.
Each game in the SEGA Forever line-up is free-to-play, ad-supported, playable offline, and includes added features like cloud saves, controller support, and leaderboards. For players who prefer a pristinely ad-free mobile gaming experience - folks who want to play SEGA just like they remember playing in their basement, without interruptions from parents, siblings, or homework - we’ve rolled back the price so each game can be purchased without ads for £1.99. As the SEGA Forever collection expands through months and years, it will include both official emulations and ported games that pan all SEGA console eras, each adapted specifically for mobile devices while remaining faithful to the original games.
“Above all else SEGA Forever is a celebration of nostalgia. It’s about allowing fans to reconnect with past experiences and share them with family and friends in an accessible and convenient way" explains Mike Evans, CMO of SEGA’s Mobile Division in the West. “Join us on a journey of rediscovery as we roll out two decades of classic games free on mobile. Create your own ‘SEGA Forever folder’ and collect your favourite classics. Enjoy moments of nostalgia on the go, or sync a Bluetooth controller to enjoy a console-like experience in your living room. SEGA Forever democratizes retro gaming, and seeks to change how the world plays, rediscovers, and shares in classic game experiences.”
The first batch of SEGA Forever games has been carefully curated, boasting both blockbusters and core fan favourites; The collection will officially kick off tomorrow with five Mega Drive / Genesis titles, all of which will be available to download for free on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, where they will be accompanied by iMessage sticker packs:
● Sonic The Hedgehog, the 1991 household classic that has remained at the forefront of hearts and minds since inception
● Phantasy Star II, the long-time fan-favourite RPG from 1989
●Comix Zone and Kid Chameleon, two American titles developed by SEGA’s in-house studio STI
● Altered Beast, the original Genesis pack-in title, a beat ‘em up set in Ancient Greece that represents a weird and wonderful segment of the SEGA catalogue that is ripe for rediscovery
Following tomorrow’s launch, the SEGA Forever collection will continue to grow with additional releases coming every two weeks. To stay up-to-date with launch news, share your love of the golden age of video games, cast your vote in polls, share your opinions in surveys, and interact with other SEGA fans, check out the SEGA Forever website and follow our dedicated Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

The Deer God Now Available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita
SYDNEY - 25 April, 2017 -The Deer God, the lush 3D pixel art adventure from Blowfish Studios and Crescent Moon Games, launches today for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as a Cross-Buy title.
Downloaded more than 1.5 million times across Xbox One, PC and mobile platforms,The Deer God tellsthe story of a hunter who learns what it means to become the hunted. After setting out to bring home a large trophy, the protagonist meets an untimely end and comes face-to-face with the Deer God, who in an act of karmic retribution reincarnates him as a fawn.
Journeying through stunning, procedurally-generated pixel art landscapes, players rely on their platforming skills and wits to protect the young deer from ever-present dangers while solving puzzles to unlock new skills and abilities that will aid the pursuit of continued survival.
Deer can also go down a dark path and acquire destructive powers to unleash upon hunters and other creatures of the forest, but this could result in the eventual reincarnation as a life form lower than a deer.
Inspired by classic titles, including Metroid, The Legend of Zelda and Ecco the Dolphin, The Deer God also draws from childhood experiences enjoying the peaceful experience of immersion in the great outdoors.
"As games have evolved as an art form we have seen them address everything from heroics on the battlefield to war crimes, but we have not seen many games that show an appreciation for the environment," said Ben Lee, CEO, Blowfish Studios. "Whether you have a love of nature or not, The Deer God will provide an experience that is as rich and rewarding as it is entertaining."

On this week’s TMA, the boys have been playing a plethora of gaming delights! Mat’s up to his elbows in Persona, so Tom’s had to get his beak wet with the likes of Mighty No. 9! The boys finally play 1, 2 Switch and are left wanting… Fortunately, not for too long as they then played Puyo Puyo Tetris! A brief discussion about the Vita library, the questionable nature of wanting a full set and the latest Nintendo Direct make it a long podcast, but hopefully you’ll agree, a good one!
Listen here.
A week without a podcast means there’s a lot to talk about! Mat talks about an spoils Nier (24-35 mins for the spoiler conscious), has played a little Persona 5 and even a bit of SUPERHOT. Tom’s peddaling some dirty Mario and Sonic at the Rio Olympics, as well as informing folks about the history of the ‘Top Gear’ games on the N64!

Prepare for an epic battle! Deformers is a fast and frantic multiplayer party game. Smash up your friends in couch co-op, or team up and fight against others online!
Deformers is currently in Open Beta on Steam so myself and Linton thought we'd give the game a try, to be advised that we were rubbish at the game...
The game is being published by GameTrust whom GameStop own, so you could say this is one of there own games with developers Ready at Dawn. Deformers is also exclusively sold by GAME within the UK. Could this be the start of something forming between the two retail giants?

Well, we’ll just let that title sit there shall we? On this week’s TMA, the boys have slowed down on their gaming consumption. Tom’s been dabbling in a little bit of Candleman, WW2K15 and a little bit of Halo. Mat’s a little tired and so babbles about NieR, Mass Effect Andromeda and The Splatoon 2 Global Test Fire. Asides from that, the boys discuss their Dreamcast hit lists, the state of competitive gaming, the tale of Gopher Boy and how they apparently have nothing to talk about…

Modmic 5 by Antlion Audio is a microphone that you can connect to you're existing headset. The best headphones don't always come with a microphone and those that do, offer a basic mic for your expensive headset.
Opening my parcel I was greeted with the ModMic 5, an Antlion USB Soundcard adapter and a Y audio adapter for use with gaming consoles.
The contents are as followered; ModMic 5, mute switch, 1meter and 2meter audio cables, carrying case, 2 base clips with extra adhesives, foam pop filter, 2meter cable wrap and 10 cable clips.
Connecting the microphone to your headset is straight forward, an adhesive pad is stuck to the headset that holds the magnetic clasp. The bond between the ModMic and clasp is tough enough to hold the mic in position but you'll also be able to take it off for storage or changing to another headset with ease.
To sort the cable management issue, Antlion has provided two different approaches; First is cable clips, which I'm impressed by. The clip itself has two sides, a big and a little clip, fitting the headset and microphone cable perfectly. Secondly is a braided cable that wraps around both wires, a little tricky and time needed to setup but works well if you don't intend to swap the ModMic to something else.
Two additional products that can be bought are the USB sound card adapter and the Y adapter for consoles, so depending on the setup the ModMic 5 can be used on a verity of situations. I'll be continuing to test and use the ModMic 5 in different ways and will be reporting back here and over on our YouTube channel.
While I don't have a presenter's voice, you can hear the crisp and clarity of the ModMic 5 and proves with the right mic, you don't need to be a professional to sound like one.
The ModMic 5 can be bought from Amazon using the links below, while a list of outlets can be found here.
If you have any questions then please let me know in the comments below.
