Cave Monsters is looking for £25,000 to help with a Kickstarter campaign that will last 30 days - February 25th – March 26th. The fund will be used to get the game fully voice acted to a high standard, collaborate with a composer to create a unique, 1920’s inspired soundtrack, programming assistance and additional localisation.

February 16, 2019: Daybreak Games has announced that PlanetSide Arena, the massive-scale multiplayer sci-fi arena shooter, has a new PC release window and will simultaneously launch alongside PlayStation 4 later this Summer.

• In a development letter posted this afternoon, the team shared the following:

• PlanetSide Arena will simultaneously launch in Summer 2019 on PC and PlayStation 4 platforms

• In light of the revised launch plan, the Founders Season has been canceled and Daybreak Games is refunding all Planetside Arena pre-orders on Steam

• The team will continue to expand the Beta testing program ahead of launch this Summer

London, Tuesday 10th April 2018 - Multi-award winning publisher Curve Digital, is pleased to announce that IronOak Games’ For the King will leave Steam Early Access on 19th April 2018. For the King is a rogue-like RPG adventure for which sees players journey into procedurally generated levels to avenge their recently murdered King.

 
Mixing up a challenging blend of strategy, tabletop RPG, and rogue-like elements, For The King features both a single player experience as well as the ability for three heroes to play cooperatively both online and locally. Taking place in the gorgeous, hexagonal kingdom of Fahrul, players must strategically explore and battle their way through the fairytale, stylized landscape in a bid to discover and survive, lest they succumb to death.

 
The game’s short run in Early Access allowed for new features to be tested, balanced and tweaked following suggestions from the community. As a result, IronOak Games have added a horde of new features including a Dungeon Crawl Mode, Discord integration, a whole host of multiplayer functionality and, of course, vital enemy and economy balancing.  The exit from Early Access will be accompanied by an extensive free update which adds an all new adventure into the daunting Frozen Expanse. This includes three entirely new realms: The Shivering Woods, Frozen Expanse and the Frigid Sea. Along with these new realms comes two vast new dungeons, a brand-new playable character to unlock and plenty of fiendish traps. Plus over 20 new enemies and encounters, two new Scourges and a wealth of new weapons, armour and loot. For completionists, 10 new steam achievements are up for grabs.

For the King will be priced at $19.99 / £15.49 / 19,99€ with a 20% launch week discount, when it leaves Steam Early Access on April 19th. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions of the game are slated for release in early 2019.

BRIGHTON, UK – 27th March, 2018: Bewilder Box Escape Rooms are delighted to announce that Red Dwarf’s Norman Lovett will star in its newest adventure, 'Judgement DAVE', opening in Brighton 3rd April, 2018.

Lovett, best known as Red Dwarf's senile computer Holly – a role to which he returned to late last year for the show’s twelfth season – will voice a mischievous and dry-witted supercomputer called The Masternet 9000 against which players will pit their wits to solve puzzles and complete challenges in a tongue-in-cheek science fiction story quite unlike anything else on the market.

Lovett, commented “The idea of combining puzzle solving and immersive theatre is an interesting concept and I really enjoyed working on the project! It was fun playing a more morally ambiguous artificial intelligence, The Masternet 9000 is full of himself – witty and bad!”

Fantasy Strike goes portable on Nintendo Switch this Summer

Lead designer for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, David Sirlin, is bringing Fantasy Strike to the Nintendo Switch in the Summer. The game is already available on Steam early access and will also launch on the Playstation 4.

Fantasy Strike Comes to Nintendo Switch This Summer

EMERYVILLE, CA – March 20th, 2018 – Fantasy Strike, the upcoming fighting game from Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix lead designer David Sirlin, will come to Nintendo Switch this summer, simultaneously launching alongside the previously-announced PC and PlayStation 4 versions.
 
“Fantasy Strike is the perfect fighting game for Switch,” said Sirlin. “The Switch is a take-anywhere console, so fighting games would be great on it if not for how notoriously difficult they are to control. Usually, playing a fighting game on a JoyCon would be tough, but Fantasy Strike is designed specifically for that. Detach the JoyCons, give one to a friend, and you can play a deep, strategic fighting game anywhere.”
 
Currently in Steam Early Access, Fantasy Strike has been rapidly deploying new features, modes, and increasing production values. In their most recent patch, Sirlin Games added professional voice acting and facial animation for all 10 characters as well as a brand new Team Battle mode. In a Team Battle, players choose 3 characters each and play a variety of different matchups, which is great as a tournament format as well as for casual play.
 
Sirlin Games has also boosted its networking technology over the last few months, combining GGPO (the best-in-class networking tech that allows there to be no input delay) with its own networking tech that now allows for smooth connections even across continents.
 
Fantasy Strike entered Steam Early Access in September of 2017. The game is currently available for $19.99 USD in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Norwegian, Hungarian, Turkish, Japanese, with additional language support planned for the final release.
