Inside Gary's Mind: WWE

Another dip into things that go on in my mind.

So I was playing a WWE game, I would say WWF but some people don’t know the difference between a panda and Hulk Hogan.

I was fighting Ric Flair in a extreme rules match, a match where lots of weapons can be used. After 15 minutes of putting him through multiple tables, in and outside of the ring, sometimes on fire too. After hitting him with chairs, a bat, kendo stick and a sledgehammer. After busting his face wide open making him don the crimson mask it dawned on me. I’m beating up a 67 year old man I should be in prison.

So put him through some more burning tables and pinned him.

Inside Gary's Mind: The saboteur

Hello everyone. 

Gary here bringing a new article called “Things that go on in my mind when playing games”

Basically like the title says its what I have thought when playing various games or watching games, things like this. 

I was playing the 2009 game The Saboteur recently, a game set in German occupied France during World War 2, a really good game to play as well I may add. 

Now I completed the main mission years ago but I’m still making my way through some of the free play missions. They get you to blow/kill things up or collect postcards from around Paris.

So I’m driving around the countryside and I reach my checkpoint, which this time was a guard tower. I looked at it for a moment and I thought to myself, this must be the most loneliest solider ever, he’s up here day and night miles from the centre of Paris, miles from the coastal village of Le Havre.

So I blew it up.

After a long Summer Holiday Cliffy Rich style, Tom and Mat are back to rock your socks off, or at least, pry them off gently with talk about games. NES Surgery - Fix that Blinking Light!

Hey Blast Processors, Tom here! Over the summer holidays I received a fantastic piece of kit from the folks at Arcade Works, The Blinking Light Win.

It's a replacement 72 pin connector for the NES but not only that, it has some extra abilities and you also get a new loading tray. This funky device helps alleviate the stress of having to retry your carts severals times before they actually work.

So if your NES is playing up, this may be just up your street.

Full Wormage PC Box Set Unboxing!

Ahhh Worms...one of the Blast Process team's favourite games. To be more precise one of Tom's favourite games.

So much so he's amassed a little bit of a collection.

Our resident Worms enthusiast recently obtained a sealed copy of the PC Full Wormage Boxset. Not being one to sit and stare at a sealed package for a lifetime, let's join Tom as he 'unboxes' this little bugger to see what joys hide within!

Tom's UK Game Room 2015 Update!

Hey Blast Processors, Tom here again!

So I jumped on a plane and vacated my Danish Game Room for my British one!

As promised an update from the 'UK' Game Room. You'll find it's jam packed with more fun and games than ever before, not to mention littered with Lemmings and Worms games for some reason...

There's a few more consoles that have come out of hiding now, and other new editions like a Mega CD and CD-i.

I tried to keep it brief but upon editing realised it was nearing the 30 min mark...Oops. Regardless I hope you enjoy. If you have any questions about what you've seen in the collection, just leave a comment.

Tom's 'Danish Game Room' Tour

Hey Blast Processors, Tom here!

For those not in the know, I live and work in Denmark. I don't have a Game Room in Denmark, but I do have a Living Room/Lounge area where I have a small collection of games and consoles and I thought it was about time I shared it with you all. I used to share this space with fellow Processor Mathew Boyle but he flown the coop so to speak so it's just little old me now and a distinct lack of RPGs.

A lot's changed at the Tom and Mat Shack since and seeing as we didn't do a Game Room Video like we planned, I did a short one to show what it presently looks like here at the shack. So here's my 'Danish' Game Room, enjoy!

Tom + Mat Attack 103 – Dinocity

On this week’s TMA, Tom has been living upto his promise of not buying new games… At least not New, New Games, Lemmings doesn’t count apparently! Even more surprisingly, Mat’s bought some Gameboy Games! Hazaa! Apart from this, the boys visited Copenhagen’s Premier Retro Game Retailer, Ruben og Bobby, buying SNES titles and other wonderful things! Oh and spoilers for TMA 104… Tom bought Dino City

Mat’s completed Shenmue, beat some Duck Tales and even done a little bit of Wooly World with Young Thomas, who has mostly been spending his time buying expensive copies of Worms and reminiscing over his love of fighting games and how said love could perhaps be coming to an end…?

This week the boys are back to their regular shinnanigans. Tom’s picked up some more Worms, Mat bought some Gameboy games, and they’re both talking nonsense! Tom’s been knee deep in some Monopoly on PS3, as well as some Towerfall Accession & Surgeon Simulator on the PS4. Mat has purely been playing Shenmue and as a result, is about to loose some street cred with the Dreamcast Crowd…

You havin’ Worms problems, I feel bad for you son. ‘Cause Tom’s got 99 versions, but Worms 2 ain’t one. -cough- Sorry, had to get that little ditty out the way! On this week’s TMA, Mat is debating buying an expensive arcade machine, confirming most Gameboy Color games are nonsense and getting surprisingly hooked on Puzzle & Dragons. Tom’s moved on from Lemmings to Worms, but still managed to fit in some Mortal Kombat, and even a few racing titles!

MEGA MAY! Gameboyle Reviews

Mega Man 2:

Mega Man II seems to be universally regarded as the worst of the Mega Man titles on the Nintendo Gameboy. A sentiment even shared by Mega Man's creator, Keiji Inafune. Is it really as bad as the internet would have you believe?

Mega Man 3:

Leaping into Mega May comes Mega Man III! With the reins of the Blue Bomber's handheld campaign back in the hands of Minakuchi Engineering, Mega Man III cranks the difficulty back the to legendary status of it's NES counter parts. However, is this a fun experience on the Game Boy?

Mega Man 4:

Rocking on with Mega May has brought us to Mega Man VI! Minakuchi Engineering's hotly contested entry for best Mega Man game in the entire run on the Nintendo Gameboy. Is it all Rock-Man-Roll? Or a complete Mega Bust?

Mega Man 5:

We wrap up Mega May with the last in the Game Boy series, Mega Man V! Minakuchi Engineering's last handheld entry into the series, but perhaps also their best. With new characters, ideas and the classic gameplay formula, how could it not be?

On this week’s TMA, surprise surprise, Tom’s been playing Lemmings! After he played that, he played some of Team 17′s spiritual successor, Flockers! Then had the gaul to tell Mat that the PSP was the greatest hand held of all time! Mat on the other hand, has been playing some Mega Man III on Gameboy, some Blacklight: Retribution on PS4 and a little bit of Beauty & The Beast, a board game adventure…

A day later than usual, we join the boys after the bank holiday all fired up on gaming. Tom has, in a surprise move, been hoarding Lemmings games, playing Black Flag and even a little bit of Worms. Mat by contrast, has been trying to work his way through his Playstation Plus back log, starting with Valiant Hearts – The Great War, some Axiom Verge and a little bit of Megaman II.

Good news everyone! Mat has the internet back! As such, he’s been buying some of PSN’s more desirable titles, like Shovel Knight, Axium Verge & playing an awful lot of Never Alone. Tom on the other hand. has been knee deep in gaming bargains, playing some of the Mario Kart 8 DLC, as well as Borderlands and even a little bit of Blue Estate. Tom + Mat Attack 094 – JarJar’s Bizarre Adventure

So Mat won’t beat around the bush, this episode has nothing to do with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, or Episode 1. In fact, we didn’t even mention the Episode 7 Trailer, or even Battlefront, but as a cheeky one liner, he thought it would look great on Blast Process’s Thumbnail, so the title is as it is. Other than forcing gaming puns, Mat’s been playing Sagaia on the Gameboy, as well as some worse titles like Hercules & Ironman XO. Tom’s been on a South Park binge, played some GTA V and reveals throughout the podcast, that he might have something of an eBay Addiction…
