Can DLC save Aliens Colonial Marines

We’ve all heard the story’s and read the reviews regarding Aliens Colonial Marines, but can Gearbox Software redeem themselves with the first downloadable content due to come out this month.

Details about the first DLC are a little thin at the moment but we do know that it’ll be called ‘Bug Hunt’ and will put you against waves of enemies, a horde mode basically. I’m suspecting it will be along the lines of the survivor mode found in Rebellion‘s 2010 game, Aliens vs Predator.

Release date for the first piece of content is still unknown unless Steam now has the correct release date, as you can see from the picture ‘Bug Hunt’ was ready to download last week but now a new date has appeared as March the 17th, this Sunday.

Will the season pass or even the ‘Bug Hunt’ DLC save Aliens: Colonial Marines?

Hungry for more Aliens: Colonial Marines? Purchase the Aliens: Colonial Marines Season Pass and get access to four downloadable content packages at a 33% discount! All add-on content packs are scheduled to be released from March through to summer 2013. The Aliens: Colonial Marines Season Pass will give you access to campaign content, additional multiplayer maps, new modes, character customization and more!

I for one hope so, why? Because downloadable content can bring a lot to the table these day and the extra time they’ve had working on it (let’s forget the last 8 years) might just be enough to bring the goods, but are the consumers willing to pay the price (again)  to see if it’ll be worth it.

What do you think? Can DLC really fix a somewhat broken game.

a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m
not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

    • Hi, Thanks for pointing this out. The pages seems to be showing fine our end, maybe it was a issue with the google hosting at that time and its been fixed now.

  3. Hello, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your website in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer,
it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
