Fitness games are becoming very popular on gaming consoles. Although we’ve seen a few fitness games in the past few years, you can point towards Wii Fit as the real catalyst for customers to consider getting fit thanks to their consoles.
This Friday see’s the release of EA Sports Active 2. The original was only released on the Nintendo Wii, and it received positive feedback. The 2nd however is set to go multi-platform.
If your a 360 gamer and wish to go for Active 2, you’ll need a Kinect camera. PS3 gamers however don’t need any additional peripherals.
Console fitness games aren’t currently a complete replacement for gyms/actual fitness routines, but they are getting more and more comprehensive.
